"The Alivio IF4 has greatly relieved my phantom limb pain, without the negative effects of pain meds.
I am a diabetic and lost my right leg below the knee after a severe infection which almost took my life. The doctors had to amputate or I would have died. Since I was very frustrated taking pain meds all the time and with the effect they had on me, my pain clinic doctor suggested that I try the Alivio IF4. I was experiencing tremendous phantom pain in a foot that was no longer there. The cramping and burning was driving me crazy. After using the IF4 for about 3 days the pain started to lessen a lot, and when it came back I just put the unit back on. That's one of the nice thing about the unit - I can't overdose on it. I also use the unit on my left leg to keep the inflammation down, as it has been swelling and throbbing also. I recommend the Alivio IF4 to everyone who has chronic severe pain of any sort and who wants relief beyond pain meds. It is a blessing and is easy to use. Finally it got so bad I was off work for 9 months, I tried heat treatment and stretching, in addition to pain medications, but nothing helped. In 2005 I had back surgery, where they inserted pins and screws, but I still had a lot of pain. My Physician's Assistant suggested I try the Alivio RxTENS, which gives me great relief. I also use it for my shoulder and neck pain. I've been able to cut way back on the vicodin and 800 motrin I was taking. The unit has really helped me." R.P. This was my second operation, involving two vertebrae the first time, and one vertebrae the second time. A metal plate was inserted to hold the repair in place and was fastened to the first repair.
